Globe-M: “Nostalgia”, early Russian colour photography at Gestalten gallery – article

Gestalten gallery ( in Berlin-Mitte is currently showing “Nostalgia”, a small exhibition of very early colour photographs by Russian photographer Michailowitch Prokudin-Gorski. In 1906 he travelled across Russia to systematically document the different regions, peoples and landscapes of Tsarist Russia; I love photography (especially early photography and travel photography) so I decided to make this my next globe-M article…..! Sophie-Gips-Höfe near Hacke’scher Markt. Free entry!

And here is the globe-M article about the exhibition: Farbenfrohes Zarenreich.
