This week Beauty International (trade show website) kicks off in Düsseldorf, Friday 15th March to Sunday 17th March. It’s the biggest German C&T trade show for the salon, institute and spa sector and takes place every year in conjunction with Top Hair International and the Makeup Artist Design Show – all of which pretty much guarantees a colourful and stimulating atmosphere.
And not just because of all the excited young nail design artists and hairdressers that are swarming about the halls! All the big German salon brands are going to be there, including internationally famous heavyweights like Babor and Alessandro International; but it’s also a good opportunity to check out the latest product innovations of smaller companies like Charlotte Meentzen, Biomaris, Dr. Christine Schrammek, La mer, Dr. Spiller and Rosa Graf.
For me it’ll be the fourth (or fifth? Can’t remember) visit to Beauty and I always enjoy it tremendously. Also because I like Düsseldorf and especially the ‘Japanese’ area of Immermannstrasse and surrounding streets – full of wonderful Japanese bakeries, cafés and supermarkets…..! You can buy Onigiri (triangular rice sandwiches with different fillings) at every street corner!!!!
