Tanas gallery is opening a new exhibition soon: “Agoraphobia” takes a look at the multi-layered connections between collective public action and urban public spaces: www.tanasberlin.de/index.php?lang=en&nav=vorschau – it’s the opening exhibition for the 13th Turkish Biennal art show in Istanbul.
Curated by Fulya Erdemci and Bige Örer, the exhibition features the works of artists Jimmie Durham, LaToya Ruby Frazier, Freee (Dave Beech, Andy Hewitt, Mel Jordan), Mierle Laderman Ukeles, Lux Lindner, José Antonio Vega Macotela, Cinthia Marcelle, Şener Özmen, Proyecto Secundario Liliana Maresca and Christoph Schäfer – a very exciting international line-up.
The vernissage takes place on 24th May (6pm-9pm) at Tanas in Heidestrasse 50 – if you’re travelling by public transport it is easiest to go to Hauptbahnhof and then walk for about 10 minutes along Heidestrasse.
