June is going to be such a busy month! In addition to the annual DMY International Design Festival next weekend (11th to 14th June 2015, I have my press accreditation already and have been looking forward to this festival for weeks!), there are two more fabulous events that are taking place in Berlin this month: Berlin Food Art Week 2015 and Green Market Berlin, the city’s first Vegan lifestyle market.
From 19th to 26th June 2015, Entretempo Kitchen Gallery is organising Berlin’s very first Food Art Week. Entretempo is – well, I can’t describe it better than the gallery does itself: “Entretempo is an interdisciplinary art space researching and exploring food in a cultural and design context. Art becomes an extension of the kitchen and food a common base for expressing and sharing thoughts and ideas”. Says it all really! Berlin Food Art Week brings together some 60 events (workshops, photography, art, design, exhibitions, special dining events, performances…) in 30 locations across Berlin. Check out the programme here. And here are some pics of the opening exhibition at Entretempo:
And on 21st and 22nd June, The Green Market is taking place in Arena Berlin, a large open-air space in Kreuzberg/Friedrichshain near the river Spree. This is the summer edition of The Green Market (the spring edition took place around Easter) and organiser Stefanie Witt (an event manager by profession and a committed Vegan) is planning a total of four seasonal markets this year. At The Green Market you’ll find Vegan street food, fashion and beauty labels, art and design companies, live music and workshops. Check out the pics!
