Arsenal Kino is still showing historic Chinese films as part of their “Ein Lied um Mitternacht” festival which runs until the end of March. I missed the first half of the film festival but I’ll try and squeeze in at least a couple of films next week. I’m off to Asia for a month just after Easter (Singapore and Bangkok!) so I’m quite busy with work at the moment. But how often do you get to see Chinese silent movies from the 1930s or political dramas from the 1960s? Exactly. This Sunday I’ll go and see “Uproar in Heaven”, an animated movie from 1964. Here is the cinema website with more details about the festival: www.arsenal-berlin.de/kino-arsenal.
