[Brand Profile]: Nature Belle from ENS Korea/Jallon

At Cosmoprof Asia last month I also met one of my favourite organic beauty brands from Korea: Whamisa. Whamisa’s manufacturer ENS Korea was a first-time exhibitor at the trade show, together with organic manufacturer Jallon which has taken over the marketing and promotion for the Whamisa brand.

And Jallon presented two new certified organic product ranges: premium anti-ageing range Jath and children & baby care range Nature Belle. I’ll post a more detailed article on Jath soon. This brand profile is about Nature Belle. Click on the link below for more information, ingredients and pics!

The Nature Belle line-up includes a hair & body wash, body lotion and powder cream, a sun cream and a multi-balm. As you can see the packaging is cute and colourful: the body wash is packaged in blue, the body lotion is pink, the powder cream is purple, the sun cream orange-brown and the multi-balm has yellow packaging. The entire range is certified by Cosmos Organic/BDIH and, like Whamisa, all formulations are water-free. Instead the products are based on carrot root extract (with the exception of the multi balm which is based on olive oil).

Let’s start with the Hair & Body Cleanser (pics above): a clear and very liquid cleanser which is scented with clean, powdery and floral notes – in fact, the fragrance reminded me of the Sophie la Girafe body lotion which I tried out at this year’s Vivaness trade show. It’s a very comforting scent. The cleanser (which I use as a shower gel) foams up lightly but not too much; 79.5% of the ingredients are organic. One bottle contains 300ml. Oh yes, the pack also contains a pump dispenser which you can attach to the plastic bottle!

The Face & Body Lotion contains 95.1% organic ingredients; like the Hair & Body Cleanser it is based on carrot root extract. It is a very light milky fluid which nonetheless hydrates really well; leaves the skin soft and lightly scented with the same powdery floral blend as the cleanser. It also has a separate pump dispenser. One bottle includes 200ml.

Next up, the Soft Powder Lotion. This product has a really ingenious texture: it’s a clear, soft gel which transforms into a creamy powder once you massage it into the skin! The lotion is talcum-free, one tube contains 50gr.

The Sun Cream is formulated with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide and the tube contains 45ml. I haven’t tried out the sun cream yet so I cannot comment on texture, fragrance or how effective the sun protection is but knowing the other products in this range; it’s probably pleasant to wear, with a nice fragrance.

Finally, the Baby Multi Balm! With 98.98% organic ingredients this is a solid moisturising twist-up stick. Good packaging design, incidentally, because you can apply the balm with one hand (if you’ve ever tried to put cream on a squirming baby or toddler – it really helps to have a hand free!). The Multi Balm is scented with the same fragrance as the other products; it’s moisturising and non-sticky.
