Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2026: [Show Report]

Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2026, the fifth edition of this new-ish trade show for the South East Asian region, was the biggest and busiest fair yet. It was my fourth Cosmoprof CBE Asean fair (you can check out my previous articles here: Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2023, Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2024 and Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2025), and while each fair has been livelier than the previous one, the 2026 show was particularly exciting – and not just because this year, the fair featured a Cosmopack section for the very first time.

According to organisers Bologna Fiere, Informa Market and CBE China Beauty Expo, over 730 exhibitors (up 12% compared to the 2025 show, 47% were exhibitors from Thailand and 53% international companies) and almost 25,000 visitors from 95 countries (an increase of +7%) attended Cosmoprof CBE Asean fair during the three days of the show, from 24th-26th June 2026. The number of international attendees grew particularly strongly, up 11%, reflecting the increasing international interest in Thai beauty, while the number of visitors from Thailand increased by 6%.

Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2025: [Show Report]

Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2025 – the fourth edition of this comparatively new B2B trade fair for the South East Asian beauty industry – was fantastic. A bigger show than last year, more retail brand exhibitors than Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2024 and Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2023 and really good energy all round.

According to organisers BolognaFiere and China Beauty Expo (CBE), Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2025 brought together 650+ exhibitors (representing over 2,000 brands) from 21 countries across a total of 25,000 sq m of exhibition space.

During the three days of the show (25th to 27th June 2025) some 23,000 visitors from 66 countries visited the fair in Queen Sirikit Convention Centre, an increase of 20% compared to last year’s visitor numbers.

Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2024: [Show Report]

The third edition of South East Asia’s first Cosmoprof fair took place from 13th to 15th June 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. It was my second time to visit Cosmoprof CBE Asean (here is my report of last year’s show) and I enjoyed it tremendously. Compared to Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2023, exhibitor numbers increased by 50% to around 1,500+ companies and brands from 18 countries while visitor numbers grew 26% to 16,630+ visitors from 59 countries/regions. It certainly felt busier than the previous year.

There is no official country breakdown but I did a rough count of country exhibitors by colour on the information boards posted outside the exhibition halls in Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre: Around 225 exhibitors were from Thailand making this the biggest exhibitor country (as it should be!). Some 150+ brands were Chinese (almost all of these supply chain exhibitors – OEM/ODM, ingredients, machinery and especially packaging) and around 130 brands were from Korea (almost all retail brands, KOECO, IBITA et. al. were out in force again).

Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2023: [Show Report]

Cosmoprof CBE Asean is the latest additon to the Cosmoprof roster of beauty trade shows and caters to the rapidly growing South East Asian beauty markets.

Organised by Bologna Fiere, Informa Markets and Shanghai Baiwen Co. (the organisers of, amongst others, China Beauty Expo Shanghai), Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2023 took place from 14th to 16th September 2023 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. Originally the fair was set to take place at IMPACT Expo on the outskirts of Bangkok but I was very happy when the organisers announced the change of venue to Queen Sirikit.

I only attended one trade show at IMPACT – Beyond Beauty ASEAN in 2019 – and it’s a nightmare to get there; no public transport and very expensive by taxi or Grab car, especially during the morning and evening rush hour. QSNCC is located in Bangkok’s city centre and connected to the subway which made the trade show commute super easy. This was my first Cosmoprof CBE Asean show.

Retail notes from Bangkok: [Show Report] Beyond Beauty ASEAN 2019

It was my first visit to Beyond Beauty ASEAN Bangkok (or BBAB for short) and – spoiler alert – it’ll also be my last BBAB. The reason: from 2020 onwards Beyond Beauty ASEAN will be combined with another key Thai beauty show (ASEAN Beauty) to form the latest addition to the Cosmoprof world of cosmetics trade fairs: Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN Bangkok (organised by BolognaFiere, Informa Markets and China Beauty Expo). These are the three of the biggest cosmetics trade show organisers in the world (and definitely the leaders in the Asian markets) so the new show is bound to be interesting, to say the least!

The reason why Cosmoprof CBE will continue to take place in Bangkok is simple: Thailand is the biggest beauty retail market in the ASEAN region and (excepting Singapore) it’s also the most highly developed ASEAN country. In fact, according to official figures by the Federation of Thai Industries, the Thai beauty and personal care market is growing strongly. In 2018, the market reached a total value of 6.2 billion USD, says Federation chairman Suphan Mongkolsuthree. And the industry grew 7% annually over the past six years making it the #1 export country amongst the largest export income earners in the ASEAN region.
