Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2026: [Show Report]

Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2026, the fifth edition of this new-ish trade show for the South East Asian region, was the biggest and busiest fair yet. It was my fourth Cosmoprof CBE Asean fair (you can check out my previous articles here: Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2023, Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2024 and Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2025), and while each fair has been livelier than the previous one, the 2026 show was particularly exciting – and not just because this year, the fair featured a Cosmopack section for the very first time.

According to organisers Bologna Fiere, Informa Market and CBE China Beauty Expo, over 730 exhibitors (up 12% compared to the 2025 show, 47% were exhibitors from Thailand and 53% international companies) and almost 25,000 visitors from 95 countries (an increase of +7%) attended Cosmoprof CBE Asean fair during the three days of the show, from 24th-26th June 2026. The number of international attendees grew particularly strongly, up 11%, reflecting the increasing international interest in Thai beauty, while the number of visitors from Thailand increased by 6%.

Cosmobeauty Seoul 2026: [Show Report]

The 40th edition of Korea’s most high-profile beauty trade show Cosmobeauty Seoul took place from 27th to 29th May 2026 at COEX expo centre – and in two halls, no less! Just like before the pandemic.

If you’re interested in reading about how the trade fair has evolved over the past ten years, check out these articles: Cosmobeauty Seoul 2016, Cosmobeauty Seoul 2017, Cosmobeauty Seoul 2018, Cosmobeauty 2019, Cosmobeauty Seoul 2023, Cosmobeauty 2024 and Cosmobeauty 2025.

Cosmoprof Bologna 2026: [Show Report]

The 57th edition of Cosmoprof Bologna was a lot of fun, despite the rain that was bucketing down during the entire first day. The second day was still grey and cold, but on the third morning the sky was blue and it was finally sunny. See pic below!

Here are the key stats for this year’s fair: According to organisers Bologna Fiere, 255.000+ visitors and 3.100+ exhibitors across all three areas of the fair (Cosmoprof: finished beauty; Cosmopack: packaging, supply chain, OEM/ODM, Cosmo Hair, Nails & Salon: professional/salon beauty). The biggest show section was Cosmoprof, of course, with around 1.300 exhibitors from 56 countries. Cosmo Salon followed with 1.000+ exhibitors from 50 countries and Cosmopack with 600+ exhibitors from 37 countries. Cosmoprof and Cosmopack ran from 26th to 28th March, Cosmo Salon from 26th to 29th March.

I found a rough breakdown of exhibitors by geographic region, with 44% of all exhibitors listed as coming from outside of the EU; the rest were European exhibitors with host country Italy especially strongly represented (20% of all exhibitors). It was also encouraging to see the number of first-time exhibitors grow 37%, and there were 32 country pavillions this year.

Cosme Tokyo 2026: [Show Report]

Bit of an odd one, this Cosme Tokyo show. Ever since Japan’s biggest retail beauty trade fair returned to Tokyo Big Sight expo centre from Makuhari Messe (Chiba prefecture) in 2021, the show has taken place in the expo centre‘s East Halls. This year, Cosme Tokyo and its associated Cosme Week Tokyo shows (Cosme Tech, Hair Expo and Beauty Marketing Expo) were relocated to Tokyo Big Sight’s West Halls – a much more cramped and a very confusing layout. According to the organisers 32,563 attendees visited the four Cosme Week shows (Cosme Tokyo, Cosme Tech, Hair Expo, Beauty Marketing Expo).

Cosme Tokyo 2025: [Show Report]

The 2025 edition of Japan’s largest retail beauty trade show Cosme Tokyo took place from 15th to 17th January, as part of Cosme Week Tokyo which also included Cosme Tech (ingredients, packaging OEM/ODM), Esthec Japan (salon/professional beauty), Cosmetics Marketing Expo (services for the Japanese beauty industry), Hair Expo Tokyo (hair care) and Inner Beauty (functional foods/beverages/supplements).

According to the organisers, a total of 618 exhibitors and 38,266 visitors across all shows attended Cosme Week Tokyo 2025. In previous years, Cosme Week had also included a smaller Lifestyle and Wellness show but in 2025, this was spun off into the Lifestyle Week Tokyo 2025 fair. Lifestyle Week took place in the hall adjacent to Cosme Tech and you could enter with your Cosme Week badge, but it was very much treated as a separate show.

Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2024: [Show Report]

The third edition of South East Asia’s first Cosmoprof fair took place from 13th to 15th June 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. It was my second time to visit Cosmoprof CBE Asean (here is my report of last year’s show) and I enjoyed it tremendously. Compared to Cosmoprof CBE Asean 2023, exhibitor numbers increased by 50% to around 1,500+ companies and brands from 18 countries while visitor numbers grew 26% to 16,630+ visitors from 59 countries/regions. It certainly felt busier than the previous year.

There is no official country breakdown but I did a rough count of country exhibitors by colour on the information boards posted outside the exhibition halls in Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre: Around 225 exhibitors were from Thailand making this the biggest exhibitor country (as it should be!). Some 150+ brands were Chinese (almost all of these supply chain exhibitors – OEM/ODM, ingredients, machinery and especially packaging) and around 130 brands were from Korea (almost all retail brands, KOECO, IBITA et. al. were out in force again).

Cosmobeauty Seoul 2024: [Show Report]

Cosmobeauty Seoul 2024 (29th to 31st May) was so much busier than last year’s show, with really great energy throughout the three days of the fair. There were some 370+ exhibitors including several big Korean brands that had been absent at Cosmobeauty Seoul 2023. If you’re interested, here are the links to my previous Cosmobeauty reports: Cosmobeauty Seoul 2019, Cosmobeauty Seoul 2018, Cosmobeauty Seoul 2017 and Cosmobeauty Seoul 2016.

This year’s Cosmobeauty Seoul was just chock-full of fascinating new product launches and overarching trends – like beauty tech, especially LED devices and skin/scalp diagnostics; and fragrance/home fragrance launches: I saw at least half a dozen Korean perfume/home fragrance brands that were launched within the past five years.

And of course the face care! Pimple patches everywhere (microneedle patches, patch kits with coin-sized LED devices to boost the effects, decorative/tattoo-type patches…) as were masks and serums. And a lot of aromatherapy/scented hair and body care – I posted 24 Instagram brand profiles across the three days of the show. According to my personal Instagram trade show coverage standards this is almost Cosmoprof Bologna level!

Cosmoprof Bologna 2024: [Show Report]

The 55th edition of the world’s most important beauty trade fair Cosmoprof Bologna (21st-24th March) was such a good show. Super buzzy every day of the fair, with lots of interesting brands and product to discover. And it was fantastic seeing friends and colleagues again.

So, overall, Cosmoprof Bologna 2024 was a lot of fun. The weather was absolutely beautiful as well (not a given in Bologna in March; I’ve been to Cosmoprof Bolognas when it was pouring with rain or, one time, snowing!). Which reminds me, here are my reports from Cosmoprof Bologna 2016, Cosmoprof Bologna 2017, Cosmoprof Bologna 2018, Cosmoprof Bologna 2019, Cosmoprof Bologna 2022 and Cosmoprof Bologna 2023.

According to the organisers, 3,012 exhibitors from 69 countries participated across the three sections of the show (Cosmo Perfumery & Cosmetics: Finished/retail cosmetics; Cosmopack: Packaging/supply chain; Cosmo Hair & Nail & Beauty Salon: Professional/salon beauty) and a total of 248,500 visitors from 150 countries visited the fair. I just compared these figures to the last pre-pandemic Cosmoprof Bologna (2019: 3,033 exhibitors from 70 countries; 265,000 visitors) and yes, the 2024 edition of Cosmoprof Bologna is practically back to 2019 levels!
